Denice Adkins received her MLS and Ph.D. from the School of Information Resources and Library Science at the University of Arizona. She has professional experience in academic and public libraries, working with patrons of diverse backgrounds and ages. She has taught at the University of Denver and University at Buffalo, and is an active member of REFORMA (The National Association to Promote Library and Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish-speaking).
Dr. Kim Thompson

Dr. Kim M. Thompson has been on the SISLT faculty since August 2006. Dr. Thompson completed her MLS and PhD degrees at the College of Information, Florida State University and has taught graduate level Library Science courses for FSU, the College of St. Catherine, and MU. She teaches LIS courses related to management of information organizations, and the social study of information. Her academic research focuses on the physical, intellectual, and social aspects of information access. She is also a faculty researcher for the Allen Institute Information Experience Lab.
